G3&4 – Finding out (April 20 – 24)

We continued our routine with online lessons using Google Meet. The students were engaged with the lessons and more able to use the technology. They searched detailed pictures of the organs of the body and watched videos about different body systems. They took notes, wrote a story about the digestive system and drew pictures of organs from observation.


When the students came to school we continued to build our community. The student helpers were in role and took responsibility.


As part of the Inquiry we made a model of the respiratory system using plastic bottles, straws and balloons. The students worked as a team and were successful to demonstrate that their model simulated the process of breathing.


In Art/Moral the students designed posters to warn about the threat of Coronavirus linked with the respiratory system and highlighted what action we can take to stay safe.
