Meadow has been busy discovering the many land animals in the world. Elephant, lion, tiger, panda and snake are some of the fascinating animals we have been exploring this week. The children watched videos of these animals and pretended to be elephants and lions! There were picture puzzles too and Meadow learned about the head, body and tail of the animal.
今週はMeadowクラスでは世界のランドアニマルについて学びました。子供たちの大好きなゾウ（Elephant）,ライオン（ lion）,トラ（ tiger）,パンダ（ panda）ヘビ（snake）などについて学び、それらの動物についてのビデオを観て、ゾウやライオンの真似をし、楽しみました。動物パズルもクラスに置き、パズルを使って動物の頭、体、しっぽなども学んでいます。
We explore when we are outdoors too. Digging in the sandpit, and making “puddings” and “cakes” help expand imagination and vocabulary. As children play, they organise their toys and this helps them develop a system and pattern in their thinking.
また、外遊び時間にも沢山学んでいます。お砂場でのおままごとは子供の想像力を育て、英単語をも学んでいます。子供たちが遊ぶとき、玩具を並べて何かに見立てたりすることはシステムやパターンなどの思考力を育てます。
We have been counting with objects and this aids in learning one to one correspondence. We count the number of children and teachers present each morning as a daily practice.
物を数えることも徐々に始めています。日々のルーティンとして、クラスに何人のお友達がいるか、また先生は何人？などの質問をし、みんなで一人ひとりを数えて確認しています。
For Summer craft, we included Hanabi- Fireworks! The children were on-task, pasting the shiny pieces and creating colourful strips of fireworks. Well done Meadow!
