There are so many teachable moments outside of the classroom, especially for our very young children. When we take walks or play at the park, we are talking about colours and numbers we have learned in class.
Yes, the teachers provide the vocabulary for them. More importantly, we create experiences for our children to remember the words. For them to remember the sunny weather, the purple flowers and the friends going down the slide.
お教室以外の場所でも学ぶことが本当にたくさんあり、例えば、お散歩に行ったり、公園で遊んでいるときでも、クラスで学んだ色や数字について話しをしています。Meadowさん、Rainbowさんへvocabularyを増やすように日々の話しかけは勿論のこと、学んだ言葉や単語を覚えるために実際に経験（体験）をできるように心がけています。公園ではその日の天気を表現したり、色についてはその色の花を探したり、またお友達の遊んでいる様子を表現したりと遊びの中でできる体験からもたくさん学んでいます。
Then we bring those experiences back to the classroom. We talk about it, reinforce our learning through craft, games, and songs. In Meadow, we have been studying the weather and using phrases like, “it’s sunny, it’s windy, It’s rainy, it’s cloudy”. We made some raindrops in our snail craft. When we played outdoors, we felt the weather too. We were hoping for a rainbow and reviewed our colours. Then there is our all time favourite “Rainbow” song…
その経験を再度クラスでも話したり、そこからクラフト（制作活動）に繋がったり、ゲームをしたり歌を歌ったりしています。Meadowクラスでは、天気について学んでいます。 “it’s sunny, it’s windy, It’s rainy, it’s cloudy”などのフレーズを練習します。クラフトでは雨とカタツムリを制作し、RainとRaindropsについて学びました。虹についても話を広げ、虹を使って色の復習も出来ました。以下、みんなの大好きなRainbow Songです。

On Thursday, there was a dental check up for all the children. The dentist counted their teeth and checked for cavities. Phew, think most of them passed! Parents, please check the notes given by the dentist. Have a fabulous weekend!
