Hello everyone and happy new year! This week we started our 5th unit of inquiry, the central idea being, “Patterns and cycles help us understand the world.” The transdisciplinary theme for the unit is “How the world works.”
Rainforest students have looked at patterns in math such as skip counting and making different patterns with blocks. They made patterns with coloured paper and a fish scale pattern as well. The important thing to remember about a pattern is that it repeats.
We will be exploring cycles that we see in nature and our daily lives next week.
