We learn many ways to communicate

Rainforest has been learning more about the IB learner profile attributes of communication
and balanced this week. We know that eating all of our lunch is being balanced (looking
after ourselves) and communication can come in many forms such as speaking, using facial
expressions, body language and body movements. We have been demonstrating this in our
Christmas show play practise.

In math we learned about ordinal numbers (first, second, third) so we found out who was the smallest and ordered children from smallest to largest. Then I asked the children to order themselves into oldest to youngest without talking, just by looking at the birthday chart. It was a little bit tricky but they worked out.

This week and last fortnight we had a great time at Nanbu park and the last of the
autumn leaves were visible this week. I have included photos from last fortnight
because they were so beautiful. Thank-you to all the parents who came to lunch
today, the children were very excited and ate more of their lunch with you there!
Funny that!
