Grade 4 have picked up their clipboards and put on their social scientist hats and been exploring the idea of social groups.

We began by considering social groups to which we belong i.e. video game players, baseball fans, fishing and tennis clubs.
私たちはまず、ゲームプレイヤーや野球ファン、釣りやテニスのクラブなど、自分たちが所属する社会的なグループについて考えてみました。
We analysed these groups through five charcteristics. These being, unity, interaction, structure, shared goals and interdependence.
私たちは、これらのグループを5つの特徴で分析しました。それは、団結、相互作用、構造、目標の共有、相互依存です。
Posters were created expressing these five characteristics for both in-groups (social groups to which we belong) and out-groups (social groups to which we don’t belong). These are to be shared with the class on Friday morning this week.
この5つの特徴を、イングループ（所属する社会集団）とアウトグループ（所属しない社会集団）の両方について表現したポスターを作成しました。これらは今週の金曜日の朝にクラスで共有することになっています。
April 22nd is Earth Day and Grade 4 will be celebrating Plant Earth by learning to grow a plant (rosemary) from cuttings. Should time permit, we will also create posters.
4月22日は地球の日です。4年生は植物の地球を祝うために、植物（ローズマリー）を挿し木で育てることを学びます。時間が許せば、ポスターも作成します。
