Goodbye past, hello future

Good day to all!
It has been a long month and our elementary class has been working HARD, truly unearthing our IB COMMITMENT attitude. Covering everything from fractions, polyhedrons, time, and multi-step word problems in math; to pronouns, past tense, present continuous, and conditional clauses in English. EC really had their work cut out for them.
Our EC class underwent two major projects: Geography presentation and Company project. In our geography presentation we analyzed a countries physical features: its landscapes, its landmarks, its climate; as well as its cultural features: food, traditions, language. Students researched the country of their choice and presented their findings to the class. A lot of students were so filled with enthusiasm they made more than one presentation and were eager to share them with the class!
In our company presentation we paid homage to the four companies that we visited during the first part of the year. We deconstructed them with our inquirer profile asking what they are, what they do, their purpose, how they have changed, the occupations they create, and their appeal and necessity in society. Students created their own ideas to answer their inquiries, and were guided towards the most accurate portrayal of truth.
It was a fun and challenging month. Everybody, myself included learned a lot.
