This week we began enacting Ryu’s new idea about researching what a country is like through art. Working in groups, students choose a country. Then they make a slideshow highlighting works of art from that country that identify aspects of their culture, history, beliefs and values. Students will present their slideshows to their peers and Miss Brigitte. We will try to identify each group’s country through the information that they present.
Continuing our investigations into our transdisciplinary theme “How we express ourselves” and our central idea “Through creative arts we can discover a culture’s history, beliefs and values”, students have made playdough (following a recipe) and then created their own sculptures and 3D works of art.
Our task next week will be enacting Ryan’s idea about painting on plastic and making a print of the resulting creation. We look forward to actually doing this great idea and learning more about art.
