Unit 4 is about expressing ourselves through art. By drawing, painting, reading, designing, writing and performing arts, they can share their perspectives to the world.
ユニット4は、芸術を通して自分を表現することがテーマです。ドローイング、ペインティング、リーディング、デザイン、ライティング、パフォーミングアートを通して、自分の視点を世界に向けて発信することができます。
The first thing we did was reading some fiction and non-fiction books under literary arts. After discussing the definition of terms, students were asked to read some books that they were comfortable with and were asked to share some ideas on what they learned.
最初に文芸の分野のフィクションとノンフィクションの本を読みました。用語の定義を話し合った後、生徒たちは自分が好きな本を何冊か読み、学んだことについていくつかのアイデアを共有することをしました。
Next, we did drawing and painting about visual art. We simply drew and painted the beauty of nature around us. After they drew, we just emphasized the importance of color combinations, contrast, neatness, and creativity. Third, we discussed about applied art. We tackled the basic way on how to turn practical objects into aesthetically pleasing one. We also watched a simple video about basic t-shirt printing design and asked them to do the same thing on their own. They also participated in designing our classroom by doing cut outs for some border designs for our classroom decoration.
次に、ビジュアルアートに関するドローイングとペインティングを行いました。私たちの周りにある自然の美しさを描いていきました。その後は、色の組み合わせ、コントラスト、整然さ、創造性の重要性を強調しました。3つ目は、応用美術についての話し合いです。実用的なものをどうやって美しいものに変えるか、その基本的な方法を学びました。また、基本的なTシャツプリントのデザインに関する簡単なビデオを見て、同じことを自分たちでやってみてもらいました。また、教室の装飾のためのボーダーデザインの切り抜きを行い、教室のデザインにも参加してもらいました。
Fourth, we discussed music as an art form. We touched a little bit of genres of music, the emotions applied in the song, and we sang “Welcome to the Family” song and applied different kind of emotions while singing it.
第4に、芸術としての音楽について話し合いました。音楽のジャンルや、曲に込められた感情に少し触れ、「Welcome to the Family」の歌を歌いながら、さまざまな感情を込めました。
Lastly, we discussed about performing arts, which is the main focus in this unit. We had a mime, circus, magic, opera, and etc. Using power point presentation, by group, they were able to present some ideas about performing acts. Some of them demonstrated it excitedly in front of the class.
最後に、このユニットでメインとなっているパフォーミングアートについて話し合いました。パントマイム、サーカス、マジック、オペラなどを行いました。パワーポイントを使って、グループごとに、パフォーミングアーツについてのアイデアを発表することができました。中にはクラスの前で楽しそうに実演している生徒もいました。
This last week of November, Grade 2 is now practicing on their performing act show for Christmas presentation. Our show is about Fantastic Mr. Fox and they are now practicing their lines and blocking.
11月最後の週、2年生はパフォーマンスデイに向けて劇の練習をしています。演目は「ファンタスティック・ミスター・フォックス」で、セリフの練習をしています。来週からもう少し本格的に練習に取り組んでいきます。
