Hello, everyone! 皆さん、こんにちは！
It’s time to give you an update on our second bus trip for this school year!
今年２回目の遠足のことをお伝えしたいと思います。
Since Unit 4 is all about expressing ourselves through visual and performing arts, we decided to visit a museum and learn about another artist named Ms. Chihiro Iwasaki. We went inside a room full of water colored drawings of mostly children and nature. It was sooooo beautiful! There were other exhibitions in the museum like Eric Carle’s work, Seiichi Tabata’s storybook, and other art pieces around the world to once again experience travelling even just with pictures. We weren’t allowed to take pictures inside so we only have pictures outside of the exhibition.
ユニット4は視覚芸術や舞台芸術を通して自分自身を表現することがテーマなので、美術館を訪れ、いわさきちひろさんというアーティストについて学ぶことにしました。私たちは、ちひろさんの作品である子供や自然を描いた水彩画でいっぱいの部屋に入りました。とっても素敵でした！他にも、エリック・カールの作品や田畑誠一の絵本など、世界中のアート作品が展示されていて、写真だけでも旅をしているような気分になりました。中では写真を撮ることができなかったので、展覧会の外での写真しかありませんが、ぜひ足を運んでみてください。
It wasn’t just the inside that was beautiful but the surroundings as well. There were so many fun things to do and appreciate. One interesting thing that we saw was the ‘train school’ which was also called ‘Totto-chan’. We were told that it was an actual school a long time ago. It was very different from the normal school because of the set up and the surroundings but we exclaimed that we would love to experience learning inside a ‘train school’.
美しいのは内部だけではなく、周囲の環境も同様でした。楽しいことがたくさんあって、感謝しています。私たちが見た面白いものの一つは、「トットちゃん」に出てくる「汽車学校」でした。昔、実際にあった学校だと聞きました。普通の学校とは全く違っていましたが、私たちは「電車の学校」で学んでみたいと思いました。
It was a very fine day so we were able to have lunch and play afterwards outside. We enjoyed the big playground in the park using the big slides, monkey bars, swings, hanging bridges and a whole lot more! We also loved playing with the dried leaves around the park.
この日はとても天気が良かったので、お昼ご飯を食べた後、外で遊ぶことができました。公園の大きな遊び場では、大きな滑り台や鉄棒、ブランコ、吊り橋などを使って楽しみました。また、公園の周りにある枯れ葉で遊ぶのも楽しかったです。
The last thing we did was go into a castle and pretend like we’re monkeys! This was the most exciting thing for us to do that day. The building has a very big climbing nets. It was tall and wide! We didn’t stay for a very long time but everyone had such a great time!
最後にやったことは、お城に入ってお猿さんの様に遊ぶことでした！これは、私たちがその日にしたことの中で最もエキサイティングなことでした。この建物には、とても大きくて高いクライミングネットがあります。私たちはあまり長い時間滞在出来ませんでしたが、みんなとても楽しい時間を過ごしました。
This is the last bus trip of the school year and we are looking forward to more amazing trips next year.
今回が今年度最後の遠足でしたが、来年度のもっと素晴らしい遠足を楽しみにしています。
