Last October 29th, we celebrated our the day with our mini-Halloween party. Of course we didn’t forget to decorate our classroom a day before the party.
10月29日、クラスにてミニハロウィーンパーティーを行いました。もちろん、前日には皆でクラスをハロウィン仕様に飾り付けました！
We started our day with the morning meeting and talked about the program. We also shared ideas on how to behave when we have games and other activities in class. Our goal was not to win the game but to enjoy and have fun. Win or lose we have to be happy.
まず、朝のミーティングで今日一日のプログラムについて話をしました。クラスでゲームをするときの振る舞いについてもアイデアを出し合いました。目標はゲームに勝つことではなく、楽しむこと。勝っても負けても楽しもうと話しました。
The first game we played was cookie face. The goal was to move one cookie from our forehead to our mouth without moving our hands. We were out of the game once the cookie falls. Since we need to remove our mask in doing the task, we have to be quiet and stop talking. Each team was able to do the task but only a few won. That was a really difficult game to play but everyone had fun plus the cookie was really delicious!
最初のゲームは「クッキーフェイス」。手を動かさずに、額から口までクッキーを移動させるゲームです。クッキーが落ちてしまうとゲームオーバー。マスクを外さなければならないので、おしゃべりはしないのもルールです。皆きちんとルールを守ってできましたが、見事、口までクッキーを運ぶことができたのは数名でした！少し難しいゲームでしたが、みんな楽しんでいましたし、クッキーもとても美味しそうでした(^^)
The second game we play was called scoop it up. Using nothing but a spoon in our mouth we need to transfer 6 (six) pingpong balls from one bowl to another. No hands! Again, to avoid corona, we were given one spoon each. Right after we played the game we have to wash our spoon and hands as well as sanitize. Many of us were able to do it! This game was easier than the first one.
次のゲームは「Scoop it up」です。スプーンを口にくわえて、6個のピンポン玉をお皿からお皿へ移すゲームです。ルールは手を使わないこと。ここでも感染対策のため、スプーンは1人1本。ゲームの後は、スプーンと手を洗って消毒することを約束しました。皆よくできました。このゲームはクッキーフェイスよりも簡単でした！
We also had a word search game for each team. But before that we listened to Ms. Phoebe on how Filipinos celebrate Halloween. We realized it is very different from what we do here in Japan. They visit their dear departed families and relatives in the cemetery and offer candles, flowers, and prayers.
また、チームごとに言葉探しゲームも行いました。その前には、担任のフィービー先生の母国フィリピンではどのようにハロウィンを祝うのか、先生の話を聞きました。フィリピンでは、亡くなった家族や親戚のお墓へ行き、ろうそくや花を供え、祈りを捧げます。日本でのハロウィンとは全く違うことがわかりました。
The last game we played was called nose dive. In one minute we need to transfer a marshmallow from one place to another using only our wet nose. The mallows smelled so good which made the dive more fun. Not everyone were able to play with the games using food since few of us got allergies. However, they enjoyed the one with the pingpong balls.
最後のゲームは「ノーズダイブ」です。濡らした鼻を使って、1分間でマシュマロを別の場所に移動させるゲームです。マシュマロはとてもいい香りがして、より楽しくなったようでした。アレルギー等のため参加できなかった子もいましたが、特にピンポン玉を使ったゲームは皆で楽しむことができました。
The afternoon session was a film show. We watched a cartoon movie about friendship between monsters and humans. We thought at first that it was a scary movie but it was actually a funny one.
午後はフィルムショーで、モンスターと人間の友情を描いたアニメ映画を見ました。最初は怖い映画かと思いましたが、実際はとっても面白い映画でした！
We ended the party by receiving a treat from the school. We got some new school supplies!
最後にハロウィンプレゼントをもらい、 大喜びでパーティーを終えました。
