This week Grade One completed their summative assessments for Unit 2! They had to build houses reflecting the culture of different countries, as well as their own personal identities. Each student also made a video explaining their creation. Each student put so much thought and effort into their work. Our observation and creative skills have improved so much!
This week we also spent so much time practicing with Upper Elementary Class for Sports Day. We showed so much good cooperation and had a lot of fun.
This week Mr Jimmy presented Green Team with the “Ultra Diamond Championship”. Every day Grade One students got points for showing nice attitudes, especially good self management skills. That means figuring out when to do things, and where to go, by ourselves – not waiting for the teacher to tell us. Every team got over 200 points! Each student has been great at showing independence, but the team with the most points was Green Team – Miyu, Yuuma and Koumei. Congratulations! Well done to the other teams too, you will get another chance in August!
Next week Summer Program starts! We will get a chance to meet our old friends and new, as students from local schools visit ISN. Mr Igor will lead the Grade One class until normal lessons resume again in August. Have a wonderful time!
今週、グレード１のクラスでは、ユニット２の総括的評価を完了しました。各国のパーソナルアイデンティティーを表現し文化を反映した家を作成しました。そして、子どもたちが作成した家を説明するビデオを一人一人撮りました。みんな、熱心に積極的に課題に取り組んでいました。以前と比べると、観察力と想像力がぐんと伸びました！
今週は、スポーツデイのため、アッパーエレメンタリークラスと一緒に練習する機会が多くありました。とても協力的な行動がとれ、楽しい時間を過ごせました。
そして、今週、ジミー先生は、グリーンチームにUltra Diamond Championshipを贈呈しました。毎日、グレード１のみんなが、良い態度、特に良い自己管理スキルを見せたらポイントを得ることができるチャンピョンシップです。先生の指示を待つのではなく、今何をやるべきか、どこへ行くのかなど自分たちで考え判断するということをポイント制で行い、どのチームも２００ポイント以上獲得しました。みんなそれぞれ素晴らしい自立した行動が見られ、一番ポイントを獲得したのはグリーンチーム、Mさん、Yさん、Kくんのチームでした。おめでとう！ 他のチームのみんなも本当に素晴らしい行動が取れていました。来月もまたチャンピョンシップを行いますので、お楽しみに！
来週から、サマープログラムが始まります。公立小学校からの参加者やISNプレスクール卒園生などに会えるのが楽しみですね。サマープログラム期間中は、Igor先生がグレード１のクラスを担当します。楽しいサマープログラムを過ごしましょう！
