Grade 4 have been expanding our knowledge base this week on the topic of diseases.
Grade4クラスでは今週、病気について知識を広げてきました。
We have been researching various diseases in small groups and asking a variety of questions in our research, i.e. Are all diseases contagious? If a disease is contagious, how does it spread? How do diseases affect our bodies?
グループに分かれて様々な病気について調べながら、様々な質問をしてきました。例えば、「すべての病気は伝染するのか？」「もし病気が感染するとしたら、それはどのように広がるのか？」「病気は私たちの体にどのような影響を与えるのか？」などです。
We also looked at the differences between bacteria and viruses. We saw how bacteria can survive by themselves, however, viruses require a host body to live. And we were reminded how important it is to wash our hands, especially before eating.
また、バクテリアとウィルスの違いについても調べました。細菌はそれだけで生きていくことができますが、ウイルスは宿主の体がないと生きていけないことを学びました。そして、特に食事の前に手を洗うことがいかに大切かを再認識しました。
Tomorrow we will take a look at plants again. This time focusing on medicinal plants and asking which plants are medicinal and how do they help us?
明日は、再び植物について見ていきます。今回は薬草に焦点を当て、どの植物が薬になるのか、そしてどのように私たちを助けてくれるのか？について探究していきます。
