This week we are wrapping up our unit on how we organize ourselves. This was a fun topic and the students have been doing very well with it.
One of the lessons we were teaching the students was how to reuse an item for a different purpose. To help teach this, we used toilet paper rolls for our craft and made an octopus. This shows the students that we can re-purpose things instead of wasting them and throwing it away.
Since the unit will be ending this week, I had a review lesson with the class to reinforce garbage separation. All the students were able to separate the glass, plastic, and paper into the different labeled boxes with little to no help at all. The day after the review we did an assessment. We tested them on their knowledge of sea animals and garbage separation.
