By taking risks, children will develop confidence to be able to cope with challenging situations, which contributes to their well-being. It helps them develop resilience and gain confidence in their abilities as they tackle new challenges and succeed.
The biggest event of this school year is coming! Each class is getting ready and doing its very best to practice for the dance and play. In Aurora, we are encouraging our youngsters to be risk-takers in portraying their characters. We are now learning and practicing the expressions and emotions that their characters need. Everybody is striving for the best and so excited for the Christmas show! Keep it up, Aurora!

In our phonics lesson, we learned the letter S, its sound, and words that begin with it, such as sweater, slippers, stick, sink, scarf, and sofa. Our young ones also gave some examples, such as snake, sun, Saturday, Sunday, and some of them said their mommy’s name starts with the letter S. Great job!
For our activity, we did a cut and paste activity. They cut out the pictures that start with the letter S and pasted them in the box. This activity aims to develop fine motor skills and pincer grip. It also improves order, concentration, coordination, and independence.
フォニックスのレッスンではS・s という文字とその音そしてセーター、スリッパ、ステッキ、シンク、スカーフ、ソファなどの S から始まる単語を学びました。 子ども達は、ヘビ、太陽、土曜日、日曜日などの例もいくつか（自ら）挙げてくれました。中にはママの名前が” S” から始まるんだよと言う子もいました。よく出来ました！切り貼りアクティビティではSから始まる単語のイラストを切り取り空欄に貼り付けました。 このアクティビティは手先の運動能力や握力を発達させることを目指しています。 また、秩序、集中力、調整力、独立性も向上させます。
This week, we started our LOI2, wherein we discussed the “Ways to Express Ourselves” and added “reflective” to our Learner Profiles, meaning “we find ways to be better.” When the teacher asked the class how they can be reflective, especially during class discussions, some of them said, “by listening to the teachers” and “speaking English.” Thank you for sharing your ideas!
今週から LOI2 の学びをスタートさせました。そこでは「自分自身を表現する方法」について話し合い、学習者像に「反省」を追加しました。 クラスでの話し合いの際にどのようにすれば自分自身を顧みることができるかを子ども達に尋ねたところ「先生の話を聞く！」や「英語で話す！」と答えた子がいました。 自分の考えを発表してくれてありがとう！
