We started a new lesson series this week focusing on hygiene. The students have been learning about germs and how they affect us. The first activity students put glitter glue on their hands, The glue represented germs that are on our hands. After getting the glue they began to touch things around the classroom. Once they finished, we talked about how the glitter spread and what we should do to clean up. This went into a lesson on how to properly wash their hands.
今週は「衛生」に焦点を当てた新しい探求がスタートしました✨
ミルキーウェイクラスのお友達は、菌が私たちにどのように影響するかを学んでいます。
まず始めに行ったアクティビティは、菌に見立てたキラキラの糊を手の平に付け
、その手で机やおもちゃ、ドアノブなどを触ると何が起こるか実験をしました！
自分が触った物に菌（キラキラの糊）が付き、菌がどのように広がるかを知る事が出来ました！そして菌をキレイにするためには何をしたら良いかを話し合い、菌が付いた所を拭き掃除したり、正しく手を洗う練習をしました🙌✨
We did two crafts this week. One was for Mother’s Day and the other was a germ craft. The students enjoyed both crafts and had a lot of fun with paint!

一つは母の日のカード💐そしてもう一つはUOIで学んでいる菌についてのクラフトです✨
どちらのクラフトも絵の具を使って楽しく作成する事ができました♪

“germ”のクラフト
Another activity we did about germs and washing our hands was with pepper and soap. When we put our finger in the water, the pepper didn’t really move. Once there was soap on our finger, the pepper moved away from our finger. This showed the students the importance of using soap to kill the germs and not just using water.
他にも、石鹸を使って手を洗うと何が起こるか、コショウを使ったとても面白い実験をしました！！
コショウを入れた水に、石鹸の付いていない指を入れてもコショウは動きませんが、石鹸を付けた指を入れると……な、なんとコショウは指から離れるように動きだしたのです✨✨✨
この現象にみんな目を輝かせ、とても驚いていました！！
この実験を通して、水だけではなく石鹸を使う事で菌を綺麗に落とす事が出来るという事を確認する事が出来ました👐
