Milky Way (October 11-14)
This week, Milky Way continued on our monthly theme, “Business”. We reviewed the production lines from Toyota that we watched last week. We thought of a simple product we can make in a production line and decided to make origami cranes.
The children enjoyed standing up in line and making one part that you were assigned. The children learned what is difficult or easy to produce origami crane in line. They also realized if one person made mistakes (even small mistakes), we cannot make complete finished product and it would be “defected”.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the students read the story, “The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats” with a read along CD. Also they tried to read it along with CD together. Some of them already remembered some lines and songs!!
On Friday, we went to Alps Park in the best weather of autumn!!! We walked hand in hand around the park. We also visited the zoo in Alps Park. The students really enjoyed watching animals. At lunch time, they showed their lunch from home each other and enjoyed it. Thank you very much for preparing all for the bus trip!!
今週、ミルキーではBusinessについて引き続き学びました。先週見ましたトヨタの生産ラインを振り返り、クラスで何が生産ラインで生産できるかを話し合い、折り紙のツルを作ろう！！と決めました。みんなそれぞれの持ち場を楽しみました。そして、もし誰かが失敗をしたり間違えると、きれいなツルは作れないことを学び、それは“不良品“になる、と言うことも学べました。
水曜日と木曜日に、クリスマスの発表会で挑戦する劇、“オオカミと七ひきの子ヤギ”のお話を読みました。何名かはセリフや歌をもう覚えてしまい、驚きました。
また今週は金曜日にバス遠足があり、アルプス公園へ行きました。秋晴れのさわやかな一日となり、子供たちも存分に楽しむことが出来ました。沢山歩き、動物園にも行き、動物と触れ合ったり観察をしたりしました。ランチタイムには、お互いのお弁当を見せ合ったりしていました。お弁当や荷物等の支度をしてくださり、誠に有難うございました.
