Hello, everyone, and welcome to school year 2020/2021. Our lovely students have graduated into Grades 5, 6 and 7 and have spent the past week getting re-introduced to their new classroom and organizing their own time in it. 🕒
皆さん、こんにちは。2020年度のスクール生活が始まりました。進級して新しく模様替えされたクラスルームに子ども達は大喜びでした。今週はオリエンテーションの週ということで、自分達の時間の整理をしました。
First, the students discussed what rules mean for the classroom community and spent some time creating and presenting their own ideas for the classroom’s essential agreements. They made their own goals for this school year, played games in which the goal was to recognize their own strengths and the strengths of their classmates, and participated in an art competition with the assignment of presenting their own family. 🍀
初めに、クラス内においてのルールとは何かを話し合いました。そして、クラスの基本契約を各自考えてそれぞれのアイデアを発表しました。各自で今年度の個人目標を決めました。さらに、自分の強みとクラスメートの強みを見分けるゲームをしました。それから、家族の似顔絵コンテストに出展する似顔絵を描きました。（残念ながら、似顔絵コンテストはコロナウィルス感染拡大防止のため延期になりました。）
Due to the Coronavirus concerns, the school will partially close from Monday until May 6th. The students will visit the school for a full day of lessons on Tuesdays and will participate in online lessons on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The students have practiced connecting to the online learning system several times, have received all necessary information and seem to be excited about trying something new. A teacher will be present with them for the entire school day, from 8:30 in the morning to 4:00 in the afternoon. 💡
コロナウィルス感染拡大防止のため、来週13日から5月6日まで臨時休校することになりました。火曜日はG5/6/7の指定登校日です。火曜日以外の日はお家でオンライン授業に参加して頂けます。9日（木）はオンライン授業を受けるにあたり必要な情報を学びました。新しいことを挑戦するのに皆ワクワクしているようでした。8時30分から4時までPCの画面の前で会いましょう。
The decision to start online learning has not been made easily, but the school felt this step is necessary in order to save everyone’s health and make our classrooms as lively and enjoyable as soon as possible. See you all danger-free in May! 🌤️
今回、このオンライン学習を開始するという決定は容易ではありませんでした。しかし、生徒・ご家族・身のまわりの人々の命を守るため必要な取り組みだと考えています。そして、一日も早く教室を元気いっぱいの楽しい空間に戻すことが大切だと思っています。休校中、皆が安全な生活を送れるよう祈っています。指定登校日に会いましょう。
