It has been another busy yet fun week here in Aurora class! So, altogether let us know the highlights of this week.😉
今週も忙しい、でもとても楽しい一週間を過ごしたオーロラクラスです。では、その一部をご紹介します。
In UOI, we learned about sea animals! Most of them were able to give examples of animals in the sea, so we challenged them through a game called Guess the Animal shape. Everybody was focused and showed how knowledgeable they are while watching the hand in the video drawing the shape of sea animals. Even before the drawing finishes, they could already guess what animal is being drawn. Then, after seeing the real picture of the animal, they have to find the same picture on the board and post it on our sea animals poster. Well done!👏
UOIのレッスンでは海の生き物についての学びを進めました。ほとんどの子ども達が海洋生物の例を挙げることができるので” Guess the Animal shape （何の動物の影か想像しよう）”というゲームに挑戦しました。 みんな集中して、画面の中の手が海洋生物の形を描いていくビデオを見ながら、どれほどの知識があるかを示してくれました。 描画が終了する前でさえ、どんな動物が描かれていくのかを推測することができます。次に実際の動物の写真を見て、ホワイトボード上の同じ写真を見つけて、海のポスターに貼ってもらいました。 よくできました！
Let’s take a look at our mini zoo in the class! This is not for display purposes, our students can play with it by putting various zoo animal toys in it and have a role-play with their friends. We want our students to be exposed to what we are learning in UOI even during their free-play to develop lifelong learning. Lifelong learning is the ongoing, voluntary, and self-motivated pursuit of knowledge which we would like our students to develop throughout the year by providing them more opportunities and experiences to learn.
クラスのミニ動物園を見てみましょう！ これは展示用ではありません。子ども達が様々な動物のおもちゃを入れて遊んだり、友達とごっこ遊びをしたりできます。 生涯学習を発展させるために、自由遊びの中でもUOIで学んでいることを子ども達に知って欲しいと考えています。 生涯学習とは継続的で自発的な知識の追求であり、子ども達に学習の機会と経験を提供することです。年間を通じて、たくさんの知識を身に付けて欲しいです。
Phonics lessons are always exciting for everyone because we always have an exciting game to look forward to. This week we learned about the letter Ii as in igloo, insect, ink, injured, iguana, and infant(baby). Like the detectives, they looked at their names on the table and checked if they have letter Ii. They were so delighted when they found out that most of them have letter Ii in their names. What an excellent discovery! For this letter, we played Kick the Ball! There are cups in front of them with letters written on it and the player has to kick the ball with the goal of knocking down the cup with the letter Ii. Each of them had their own strategies to hit the goal and we were surprised how well they did it! Great job, Aurora!🌟
フォニックスのレッスンは、みんなが楽しみにしている大興奮のゲームを行っているので、いつも盛り上がります！ 今週は、 igloo（イグルー）, insect（昆虫）, ink（インク）, injured（怪我）, iguana（イグアナ）, infant（幼児）のようなアルファベットI・iについて学びました。 探偵のように、テーブルに貼られた自分の名前を見ながら、自分の名前にI・iが含まれているかどうかを確認しました。 多くの名前にI・iのアルファベットが含まれていることが分かった時、みんな嬉しそうでした。 なんと素晴らしい発見でしょう！ このアルファベットでは、ボールを蹴る遊びをしました！ 文字が書かれたカップがあり、プレーヤーはI・iのアルファベットの書かれたカップを狙ってボールを蹴らなければなりません。 この目標を達成するために独自の戦略を立て、うまくやって見せる姿に驚きました！ 素晴らしいね、オーロラ！
One of our goals for Aurora is to learn how to hold chopsticks properly without rings. In preparation of using the regular chopsticks in the future, we created an activity included in our workstation which is transferring objects activity. Students have to take pom-poms in the tray using disposable chopsticks and try to hold them properly as much as possible. We also remind and correct the students to hold their chopsticks properly, especially those who are already using regular chopsticks for lunch.🥢
オーロラクラスの目標の1つにリングなしの箸を正しく持つ方法を習得すること、があります。 将来的に通常箸を使う準備として、ワークステーションで物体移動のアクティビティーを行いました。 箸をできるだけ正しく持つ努力をしながら、箱の中のポンポンボールをトレイに移動させなければなりません。 また、特に昼食時に通常の箸を使用している子ども達には、箸の正しい持ち方に注意を促し、修正していきます。
Another workstation activity that Aurora is enjoying a lot and related to our UOI lesson is the animal puzzles. Puzzles develop memory skills, as well as an ability to plan, test ideas and solve problems. While completing a puzzle, children need to remember shapes, colours, positions and strategies to complete them. This also allows children the chance to build their small muscles, hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving strategies through repeated practice. They enjoy the feeling of accomplishing a task on their own as they put the puzzles together and take them apart. In this activity, students also learn to cooperate with their friends.🧩
オーロラのみんなが楽しんでいて、UOIレッスンに関連するもう1つのワークステーションアクティビティは動物パズルです。 パズルは記憶力を発達させるだけでなく、想像力を働かせたり、試行錯誤したり、問題を解決する能力を発達させます。 パズルを完成させるまで、子ども達は形、色、位置など戦略を覚える必要があります。 また、繰り返し練習することで、手先の筋肉、手と目の協調、および問題解決能力を構築する機会にもなります。子ども達はパズルを組み立てて、壊し、自分で目標を達成する感覚を楽しんでいます。 この活動で、友達と協力することも学んでいます。
Going to the gym is always enjoyable for our very energetic Aurora students! Aside from different physical activities that we have been doing regularly, we also practiced running race for the upcoming Sports Festival.🏃🏃♀️
ジムに行くことは、エネルギッシュなオーロラの子ども達の楽しみです！ 定期的に行っているさまざまなエクササイズの他に、今年のスポーツフェスティバルに向け、かけっこの練習もスタートしました。
From next week, Ms. Fronie and Ms. Emi will be away for a while. For the meantime, they will have Ms. Tami from Brazil to substitute Ms. Fronie together with Ms. Sayuri and Ms. Naoko and definitely with the support from the office and other staff members. We will miss our students big time! Thank you so much for your understanding and we’ll see you again soon!🙇♀️
来週からフローニー先生とエミ先生が、それぞれの事情により、しばらく不在になります。代わりの先生として、ブラジル人のタミー先生がクラスにやってきます。サユリ先生、ナオコ先生、そしてオフィスや他の先生達のサポートも受けながらクラスの運営を行っていきます。 フローニー先生もエミ先生も、子ども達を恋しく思い、寂しいですが、しばらくの不在に、どうか ご理解の程、よろしくお願いいたします。またお会いしましょう！
