Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful vacation. It has been a great first week back. We have now split the class into two classes. One is Canyon and the other is Aurora. It has been a great transition.
This week we have been mostly settling into our new environments and routines. We went to the park Tuesday and Thursday which the students loved and had lots of fun.
Wednesday we started our new unit, sharing the planet. The central idea is, “We live with animals and we help each other”. The students have shown enthusiasm and curiosity about the new unit. It will mostly focus on animals, where they live, how they help us, and how we help them.
We will continue to have the students practice writing their names every week as well as learning three letter words. For math we will go back to teaching addition with numbers adding up to only five and continue to practice counting from 1-20.
