Is it a big deal or a small deal?
それは大きなこと、それとも小さなこと？
We have finally started looking into Line of Inquiry 2 which is about Managing conflicts and problem-solving this week. The class learned 2 steps of how to manage conflicts: 1st – Assess if the problem is Big or Small, 2nd – Identify the emotions and feelings.
今週はいよいよLine of Inquiry 2のManaging conflicts and problem-solving（対立の対処と問題解決）を学び始めました。まず、対立の対処の仕方について2つのステップを学びました。1つ目は、問題が大きいか小さいかを判断すること、2つ目は、自分や相手が持つ感情や感覚を把握することです。
To spice things up, we incorporated games into the lesson. After talking about what is big and small problems, we played the digital game called: Big Deal or Small Deal, where the host gave different scenarios, and the players decides if it’s big deal or not. The whole class had fun while honing their ability to judge whether the problem is big or not.
大きな問題と小さな問題の違いについて話した後、「Big Deal or Small Deal」というゲームを行いました。出てくるさまざまなシナリオを読み、それが大きな問題かそうでないかを判断します。クラスみんなが楽しみながら、問題が大きいか小さいかをたくさん考え、判断する力を磨くことができました。
The 2nd game was a bit challenging for the students because it did not just test their ability to recognize emotions, but also tested their ability to act. This game exposed them to different emotions and even taught them new vocabularies like embarrassed, proud, and many more.
次のゲームでは、感情を認識する力だけでなく、演技力も試されました！子ども達にとっては少し難しかったかもしれませんが、交代で前に出て演技をし、他のお友達は一生懸命考えて当てていて、盛り上がりました😊このゲームではさまざまな感情に触れ、また「恥ずかしい」「誇らしい」など、新しい言葉も学びました。
Milkyway students could not contain their excitement when they were playing in the mud. The gloomy weather this week gave them the chance to have their first ever muddy experience. As children grow through their formative years, mud play will help them achieve many key developmental milestones, such as fine and gross motor skills, sensory awareness, balance, and coordination.
そして今週は、ミルキーウェイの子ども達にとって初めてのどろんこ遊びをしました！どろんこ遊び用の服に着替えた子ども達は、興奮を抑えきれませんでした🎵裸足でどろんこの感触を味わい、泥の上に座ってみたり、体に泥を塗ってみたり穴を掘ったりと、初めはおそるおそる歩いていた子も、だんだんとダイナミックに遊んでいました！子どもたちが成長する過程で、どろんこ遊びは、細かい動きや大きな動き、感覚の認識、バランス、協調性など、多くの発達に役立っていきます😊どろんこセットのご用意ありがとうございました！また天候を見ながら楽しみたいと思います。
Our tennis lesson will be in recess! We will resume the lessons in September when the temperature is no longer high. Amid this condition, Milky Way students enjoy their tennis lessons and love playing and hitting the ball. They are all so good that their movements are like that of a pro!
テニスレッスンは今週を最後に、1ヶ月お休みとなります。気温が少し下がる9月からレッスンを再開する予定です。そんな中、ミルキーさん達はテニスレッスンを楽しみ、ボールを打つのが大好きです。みんな上手で、まるでプロのような動きです！笑
Another week has just passed, and another month just ended. We are all looking forward to the beginning of a new month, learning something new, and getting beautiful and exciting deals small or big! 🙂
もう一週間が過ぎ、ひと月が終わります。新しい月の始まりを楽しみに、新しいことを学びながら、楽しくワクワクするような小さなことや大きなことを手にしていきましょう！
