We started a new line of inquiry this week that we will talk about for the next four weeks. It’s all about buildings and what they are used for. This week we’re talking about buildings we live in.
今週から新しいline of inquiryに入りました。これから4週間、この新しいLOIについて学んでいきます。私たちの周りにある建物と何の為にこれらの建物が使われているのかについて学んでいきます。今週は、私達が生活をする建物、つまりお家、アパート、マンションなどにフォーカスし学びました。
One of the activities the students got to do this week was to make their own house with paper. They folded the paper and then colored each part to represent a room in their home. The following day the students presented their homes to the class. You can see them hanging up outside of our classrooms.
子供達がしたいくつかの活動に、折り紙で家を折り、色鉛筆で部屋の中を描くというものがありました。次のレッスンでは、ひとりひとりが前に立ち、プレゼンをしました。廊下に展示していますのでご覧になって下さい。
The phonics lesson this week was an exciting one. The students got to write another book for the class. It’s called “I Spy”. They used the sight words they’ve been learning in class to write sentences. They wrote them all by themselves only needing help with non-sight word words. We got to read them as a class once they were all done and the book was made.
フォニックスレッスンでは、とても楽しい活動をし、皆んなで盛り上がりました。I Spyという本を制作しました。クラスで毎日読むsight wordsを使い、センテンスを書き本を作りました。sight wordsについては皆一人で頑張って書き、sight wordsではない単語のみ、先生に手伝ってもらいました。仕上げた後クラスで全体で読み、一冊の本にしました。
