This week was special because the Aurora class went on a bus trip! We went to a big park that we had never been to before. We enjoyed the season and scenery, and we picked up some dried leaves, caught some insects and baby frogs. Our youngsters also enjoyed playing on the wooden swing. After that, we had a picnic outside and enjoyed our delicious food while basking in the sun. It was a great experience for our little ones to explore nature, improve their mood, help them feel more relaxed, and improve their physical health.
In our UOI lesson, we started Unit 3 where we talked about “How We Express Ourselves.” This unit focuses on various emotional expressions and encourages our young ones to be risk-takers and try new things. Our youngsters learned various expressions such as excited, frustrated, cheeky, blue, delighted, etc. We also did a facial expression activity where our little ones showed their emotional expressions in different situations that their teachers cited. Well done!

As we start a new unit, we have new workstation activities! Our young ones are enjoying playing with pom-poms and chopsticks. They need to use the chopsticks to pick up the pom-poms and drop them into the container. We also have playdough feeling faces, where kids learn about a variety of emotions and how to identify them. They also work on fine motor skills by manipulating the playdough, increasing their hand strength and dexterity. Additionally, they learn about colors and shapes while forming different face shapes. Great job, Aurora!
