Greetings from everyone in Grade 3! This week got off to a positive start, as we continued with the 2nd Line of Inquiry and this brought about more explorations into space! Well, at least in the confines of ISN.
G3クラスよりこんにちは。今G3クラスでは宇宙について探究しています。今週はLOI2’なぜ私たちは宇宙へ旅をしたいのか？’の続きを探究しながら、よいスタートを切ることができました。
We looked at the benefits of space exploration. The challenge for this week was to present the benefits of space exploration, by working in teams of 3 and using slideshow presentations to show your findings. These focus of the presentations would be to improve skills such as audibility, confidence, eye contact and posture. It is fair to say that the students, exceeded expectations and pleasantly surprised me. Added to this, were the points and information presented by the students, such as improved daily activities, better care of habitats, our beautiful planet, healthy diplomacy between nations to acquire better space research and knowledge, etc.
私たちは、宇宙探査の利点について調べました。今週の課題では、3人のチームに分かれてスライドショーを使ったプレゼンテーションで、宇宙開発の利点を発表しました。プレゼンテーションでは、聞き取りやすさ、自信、アイコンタクト、姿勢などのスキルを向上させることに重点を置きました。生徒たちは期待以上の力を発揮し、みんなのプレゼン力に驚きました。皆が発表した視点や情報は、日常生活の改善、生息地や美しい地球のケア、宇宙の研究や知識を得るための国家間の健全な外交などがありました。
Moving on to the 3rd Line of Inquiry will look into the future and what might that unclear companion has for us. An interesting activity to start things off is to look at the possibility of moving to Mars, and to create a story with characters and what challenges could be faced in this almost unimaginable adventure. What could be done about these challenges, and think about 3 things that our characters should take to Mars, from Earth. This should be a very interesting activity which I look forward to.
次のLOI3では未来に目を向け、その不明瞭なものに何があるのかを考えます。まずは、火星への移住の可能性を考え、想像を絶する冒険の中で直面するであろう課題を、登場人物とともにストーリーにしてみるのも面白いかもしれません。そして、その課題に対して何ができるのか、主人公たちが地球から火星に持っていくべきものを3つ考えます。これはとても面白い活動になると思いますので、楽しみですね。
