Our beloved Milky Way students have enjoyed digging deeper and learning more about food this week. They have learned the benefits of each food group and why is it important to have a balanced and healthy plate; Some of the new words they have learned are carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, and minerals. Each food group offers some of these nutrients that help us stay healthy.
今週、ミルキーウェイの子ども達は、食べ物についてより深く探究を楽しみました。三食栄養群の各グループのよいところと、なぜバランスのとれた健康的な食事が大切なのかを学び、炭水化物、タンパク質、ビタミン、ミネラルといった新しい単語も学びました。各食品群には、私たちの健康維持に役立つこれらの栄養素が含まれています。
To challenge their knowledge about the 3 food groups, we played the “GIVE ME” game where the Genie asks each player to give the food he likes. Example: Give me a “glow food”, each player will then find a GLOW food from the container and transfer it to the designated box.
The whole class had so much fun and made lots of scores.
3つの食品群についての知識を使ってゲームに挑戦しました。ジニーが各プレイヤーに好きな食べ物を頼む「GIVE ME」ゲームを行いました。”glow foodをちょうだい”と言うと、各プレイヤーはかごの中からその食べ物を探して、Glowと書かれた箱に移します。クラス全員でとても楽しみ、たくさんのポイントを獲得しました！
Milky way students do not just love English but also Japanese. Though they find it hard to speak only Japanese in this hour, since they are so used to speaking English only, they try their best and still find the subject interesting. This week they learned about what is their name and family name in Japanese, and practiced to write “く”. The AIUEIO song was very catchy and stayed in the students minds even after the Japanese lesson. They love singing it.
ミルキーウェイの子ども達は、英語だけでなく、日本語のレッスンも大好きです！普段スクールでは英語しか話さない子ども達にとって、日本語のクラスでは日本語のみで行うということにまだ慣れていないようですが、それでも一生懸命に話し、このクラスを楽しんでくれています。今週は、日本語では自分の名前を「苗字→名前」の順で言う・書くことを学び、またひらがなの「く」を書く練習をしました。「あいうえおの歌」はとてもキャッチーで、日本語のレッスンが終わった後も口ずさんでいます🎵みんなこの歌をとても気に入っています。
Our reading this week was about flowers: We discovered different types of flowers and tried to find them while walking outside. One of our goals is to let our students have a close relationship with nature by discovering the things around them.
今週のリーディングでは、花についての本を読みました。色々な種類の花が出てきたので、お散歩の時に歩きながら探してみました。私たちの目標の一つは、子ども達が周りのものを発見することによって、自然と仲良くなることです！
そして今週はこいのぼりの工作をしました！ミルキーウェイのみんなは、はさみを使って工作に使うパーツを全部自分達で切りました☺はさみの使い方、そしてはさみを使うときのルールをしっかり確認し、いろいろな切り方に挑戦しました。作りながらこいのぼりの歌を歌ったり、こいのぼりの紙芝居を読みました☆初めてのはさみの活動で作ったこいのぼり、持ち帰りましたので、是非作った時の話を聞いてみてくださいね。
