Zoologists in the making (Milky Way)

This week was very cold, indeed, but this weather did not stop the Milky Way kids to have fun and learn. The cold never bothered us anyway!

It was freezing outside when we visited the park. We finally got the chance again to exercise and enjoy the snow-capped mountain scenery. The students seemed to enjoy the long walk and the cold winter breeze. When we got to the park, the students wasted no time and had fun running around the open area. It’s still fascinating to see their ability to balance and climb in the play structures. Going to the park is really one of the favorite activities of the Milky Way kids.

We also finished our Unit 5 this week. The Milky Way students were able to practice and apply their research skills in UOI when they became little zoologists. They practiced taking notes and gathering relevant information for their chosen topic. With the help of the research notes that they have accomplished at home, they were able to create presentation cards that they used in our “Zoologists Conference”. It was such a fun activity because we learned a lot of interesting facts about different animals! The students all enjoyed being zoologists for a day.

Thank you so much Milky Way Parents for helping your children with their research work. They all did a fantastic job of presenting their findings to their classmates and friends.
