Rainbow August 28-September 1, 2017

Hello Parents!
Time flies. September is here! Today we gladly welcomed a new Rainbow member. His name is Gaku.
It’s our pleasure to update you once again what our youngsters have been doing this week.
On Monday, we had learned the new set of songs in Music Class (The Old Gray Mare, Come Birds, The Little Baby Fox From Up The Hill and If You’re Happy And You Know It). Although the songs were new to them, they tried their best to mimic the teacher’s actions and clapped their hands. After the Music Class, we played in the pool outside the school. Our youngsters are always excited to play with water. They like pouring water using the elephant toy. A few of them didn’t get in the pool because they had a runny nose, but they still had lots of fun playing with water in a small basin.
On Tuesday, we had a Swimming Class. They learned to blow bubbles, kick, splash, etc., but the activity that they liked most was sliding down into the water and surprisingly, one of them could go underwater. Amazing!
On Wednesday, we went to the gym and we practiced our activities for the Sports Festival. Guess what? Our dear little ones could follow the teacher’s instructions and they could walk in a nice line. They are excited for the upcoming Sports Festival because they know that their parents will come with them on that day.
On Thursday, we walked to the park. Remarkably, they made it from school to the park and vice versa. Walking for them was fun and interesting. It educates them about road safety. They noticed many things which paved the way to actual learning. They enjoyed playing in the park and watching the trains go by. When we got back to school our little ones were a little bit tired, but were still energetic.
We also reviewed the names of the Zoo Animals that we have been learning for weeks and we added a few more names (goat, ostrich, pony, eagle, rhinoceros, goose and chimpanzee). Singing the Phonics song has also been a part of our learning as we master the alphabet.
That’s all for this week. More interesting and fun learning activities are coming next week.
Have a nice weekend everyone.
