Shooting Star class has been busy this week due to Sports Festival preparation. We practiced everyday in class and had our rehearsal in the gym with Aurora and Milky Way classes. Everyone tried their best practicing the songs, the parachute performance, and the race. Way to go, Shooting Star!
運動会が近づき、今週はとても忙しい1週間を過ごしていました！
毎日教室で練習をし、木曜日はオーロラさんやミルキーさんと合同でリハーサルをしました！
みんな歌もパラシュートもかけっこも一生懸命頑張りました👏
※パラシュートの一番の見せ場はラストです！成功するように繰り返し練習をしていますが、少し苦戦をしています😿本番は成功するように祈っていてください♡
✅ Unit of Inquiry
This week, we talked over the good environment of butterflies. We used our butterfly craft to make a poster. We stuck it on a construction paper then, we challenged ourselves to think. Yes, we are thinkers! We imagined what make a good environment for butterflies 🦋🦋🦋. Right after we conceived them out in our mind, we put our ideas into drawings. Hoorah! Our posters turned out into a fantastic environment for butterflies with water, trees, flowers, grasses. Then, we watched a video about frogs, what they need in order to survive. After watching the video, teachers asked Shooting Star students what frogs need in order to survive and their answers were; frogs need water, trees, grasses, and insects to survive. Then, we came to a moment of reflection that the reason why the frogs 🐸 that we had in Shooting Star class died, it’s because the environment is not good enough for them to survive. At the end, we did a worksheet activity by drawing on the paper what frogs need to survive.
今週は蝶々が住みやすい環境について話をしました！そして、以前作成した蝶々のクラフトを使ってポスターを作成しました。白紙のポスターに蝶々を貼り、蝶々にとって良い環境とはどんな環境か？蝶々が生きるためには何が必要か、想像力を働かせて考えました✨
私たちはIBの学習者像である「考える人」です👏
そして頭の中で考えた事を絵に描きポスターを完成させました！お花や水、草木などの蝶々にとって必要なものが描かれた素敵なポスターになりました♩
次に、カエルについてのビデオを見て、カエルが生きていく為に必要なものを学びました。ビデオを見た後、先生たちが「カエルが生きていく為に必要なものは何？」と聞くと、水、草、木、そして昆虫が必要だと答えてくれました。以前、クラスで飼っていたカエルが死んでしまうという事があったのですが、その事を振り返り、カエルにとって十分な環境が整っていなかった事にも気が付きました。
また、カエルが生きていくために必要なものをワークシートに描きました。
✅ Mud play
We got the chance to play again with mud. Shooting Star class is always excited to get muddy. It helps us boost our creativity, our imagination, independent play, and teamwork.
今週は泥遊びをしました！シューティングさんは泥遊びが大好きです✨泥遊びでは創造力、想像力、チームワークを高める事が出来ます。だんだんと遊び方が派手になり、今回の泥遊びでは全身泥だらけになりながら遊んでいました！泥の上に座り込んだり、寝転がって冷たい泥の感触を楽しんでいる子もいました！そして遂に✨「川を作ろう！」というアイディアが飛び出し、スコップで川を掘り水を流し込むという作業をお友達と一緒になって行っていました👏泥遊びでは先生は見守ることに徹し、子ども達からどんなアイディア出るか楽しみに観察をしています✨遊びの幅がどんどん広がったり、お友達と協力する姿を見て、とても成長を感じた泥遊びでした♡
