Dear Rainforest Students, Parents and Family, it is a new school year and welcome back! A big hello to our new friends who have just joined ISN. Along with Ms Chisaki and myself, Ms Serena, we are all raring to go to start the new school year with all of you. Here is a beautiful photograph of us.
レインフォレストの皆さん、ご家族の皆さん、ご進級おめでとうございます。プレスクール生活最後の年となりました。なんと、レインフォレストに新しいお友達が仲間入りしました。Ms. SerenaとMs. Chisakiは、一年間皆と一緒に過ごせることを楽しみに張り切っています。桜の木の前で撮ったきれいな写真をご覧ください。
Our brand new class rose to the occasion on their very first day of school as they stood in front of new ISN students to deliver a message in the Welcome Ceremony. Thank you!
入園式で、新入園児の皆の前に立って、堂々とメッセージを発表しました。みんな、頑張ったね！ありがとう。
Throughout the week, we shared with one another about our likes and dislikes, our family and experiences in the last school year. We briefly explored about the rainforest since it is the name of our class. We read books and made masks of rainforest animals. We dramatised the story of “The Great Kapok Tree” by Lynne Cherry… “Don’t chop down the tree. This is our home”, said the animals.
We practised writing our names. We made jigsaw puzzles of our portraits and wrote numbers on the puzzle pieces to keep track of them.
今週は、自分の好きなことや嫌いなこと、家族、昨年度経験したことについて話し合いました。そして、クラス名になっている「レインフォレスト」について簡単に説明しました。本を読んだり、レインフォレストの動物のお面を作ったりしました。自分で作ったお面を使って、リン・チェリー作の “The Great Kapok Tree “の物語をドラマチックに表現しました。動物のお面を手に持って、「この木を切り倒さないでください。ここは私たちの家なんだから」と言っていました。
さらに、ホワイトボードに自分の名前を書く練習もしました。また、自分の似顔絵のジグソーパズルを作って、一つ一つのピースに数字を書き込んで、パズルの完成形を記憶できるようにしました。
We had good fun in the park with lovely cherry blossom trees around us. We nourished our bodies with good food for our growing bodies too. Thank you Rainforest, it was a fabulous first week of school! Have a nice weekend！
公園で満開の桜に心癒やされながら、楽しい時間を過ごしました。ランチの時間は、体に良い食べ物で、栄養をしっかり補給しました。進級して第1週目のレインフォレストさん、身の回りのことを進んで行ったり、クラスメイトを思いやったり素晴らしいです！よい週末をお過ごしください。
