Enjoy the summer while it lasts. The few sunny days that we have had were unbearably hot and humid. So, for the whole straight week, the kids dipped themselves into the pool and enjoyed the cool water.

Since it’s summer and it’s way too hot and humid. Watermelons have become synonymous with summer and picnics. For the weeks activity, the kids made some watermelon craft and they’re too cute to pretend to have a bite as if it’s a real watermelon.

For the past few weeks, we introduced them some sea animals and taught them how to fish using our improvised fishing rod and up to this day, kids still loved it and enjoyed fishing very well. While others were busy fishing, some kids were also busy solving the puzzle boards game.

Kids are also getting excited and ready for the Sports Festival next month as we practice the dance almost everyday and the games as well.

In our afternoon routine, we carried on with our lesson with another set of animals that are mostly found in the zoo.

Kids are naturally born helper, singer and dancer. Most of our Rainbow kids really love to sing and dance. They even go in front to sing and dance as if they’re the teacher, they wanted to lead the class as well. They are keen observers and at their age, they are great imitator. So you have to be careful and make sure that you’re a good role model and you give them something great to imitate. Just like the photo I’ve posted above, you’d see how sweet and helpful the kids are. Everyday, they see us making their beds and keeping it away when it’s wake up time. And in the photo, you’d see how they tried to fix, fold and carry the bed. You’d also see that at their young age, they already know how to work as a team. Well done kids! And kudos for the teachers for giving them great examples to imitate and follow. Actions really speaks louder than words. You can’t tell someone to be this and that nor ask them to do this or that but you have to show them in actions instead. Once you lead, they would follow. Perhaps, they’ve seen how their teachers work as a team and so they did.
I hope everyone’s going to enjoy the summer while it lasts and make the most out of it. Have a happy long weekend everyone!
