Celebrated on March 3 every year, Hinamatsuri is one of Japan’s most beautiful unofficial holidays. A day which Japanese households with young daughters decorate their homes with ornamental dolls (hina dolls) disposed on red-cloth covered platforms.
The dolls are said to be representing the emperor, empress, attendants, and musicians in traditional court dress of the Heian period. We use them to pray for girls’ prosperity, health and, traditionally, a stable and successful marriage.

毎年 3 月 3 日に祝われる「ひな祭り」は、日本で最も美しい行事の 1 つです。 女の子がいる日本の家庭では、赤い布が敷かれた台の上（ひな壇）に雛人形を飾ってお祝いをする日です。
人形は、平安時代の伝統的な宮廷衣装を着た天皇、皇后、侍従、楽士、（兵士）を表していると言われています。 女の子の幸せと健康、そして良縁を祈ります。
On Tuesday, Aurora was full of excitement while making their own hina dolls. We used their own pictures for the face of the doll which we glued on a stick to serve as its body. We took a picture of the design of their futon bed cover, printed it, and used it as the design of their kimono. To make a kimono, the teacher demonstrated step by step in cutting and folding it. To know which spot on the platform they will stand, they picked a number in the box and took the plastic on the platform with accessories that completed their dolls. 火曜日、オーロラは自分達のひな人形を作るのに大興奮でした。 人形の顔には彼ら自身の写真を使用し、それを棒に接着して体にしました。 そして、お昼寝用の布団の柄を撮影、印刷し、着物のデザインとして採用しました。 着物を作るために、先生が（布団柄の）その紙を切ったり、折ったり、順を追って実演してくれました。 彼らがひな壇のどの位置に座るかは、箱の中から番号を選ぶ、くじ引きで決まりました。ひな壇に貼られたアクセサリー（帽子や備品）入りの袋を取り、自分の人形に貼りました。 オーロラの美しくハンサムな人形たちです！
In Phonics, we continued to review the alphabet by doing a cut and paste worksheet. This time, we did letters Ii to Pp. Before they passed their work, they needed to recite the letters randomly to the teacher. Everyone did a great job!⭐⭐⭐
フォニックスでは、切り貼りワークシートを使ってアルファベットの復習を続けました。 今回はI/iからP/pまでの文字を作りました。この課題を提出する前に、先生が差すランダムなアルファベットを暗唱する必要がありました。 みんなよく頑張りました！
In UOI, we watched a short video showing the history of transportation or how transportation has changed over the years. To end the LOI2, we had a formative assessment in which students answered a worksheet sorting the past and present transportation. Most of them have answered it correctly. Well done everyone!👏👏👏
UOI では、乗り物の歴史、もしくは乗り物が何年にもわたってどのように変化してきたかを紹介する短いビデオを視聴しました。LOI2 を終了するために、子ども達に過去と現在の乗り物を分類するワークシートに回答してもらい、形成的評価を行いました。 ほとんどの子ども達が正しく答えました。 みんなよくできました！
We had fun playing at the park with nursery friends. We played “Get the Tail” with them. We also went to another park which everybody enjoyed a lot. We had the same fun at the gym as we did various activities together. The more energy they release, the warmer they feel. Nothing can beat these students’ energy.🤸♂️🤸♀️
未満時のお友達と公園で楽しく遊び、 一緒に「Get the Tail（しっぽ取りゲーム）」をしました。 また、別の公園にも行き、たくさん遊びました。同様にジムでも様々な活動をして楽しみました。 子ども達は多くのエネルギーを放出し、ポカポカになりました。彼らに勝るエネルギーはありませんね。
