今週は子どもたちも楽しみにしていたスクールオープンデーでした！普段の子どもたちの様子を見ていただいたり、みんなも大好きなテニスレッスンで楽しく活動している姿を見ていただいたり、お忙しい中お越しいただきありがとうございました！
「私たちのいる場所と時間」のユニットも2週目の今週は各国のお祭りやお祝いにフォーカスしました。
メキシコの死者の日、タイのランタンフェスティバル、インドのディワリ、ユダヤ教徒のハヌカーなどなど・・・松本、日本とは異なった各国のお祭り行事に目を輝かせ、興味津々な様子の子どもたちでした。
また、時間の学びでは紙の時計を作って朝起きる時間、スクールの始まる時間、ランチの時間、夜寝る時間などを各々に自作時計で示すことができました。
是非、お家でも時計と共に一日を過ごせるようにお手伝いしていただければと思います。
Thank-you to all the parents who came to Rainforest’s open day yesterday. The children were very excited to have you there! This week we have looked at festivals and celebrations around the world like Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) in Mexico, the Floating Lantern Festival in Thailand, Diwali in India and Hannukah, the Jewish celebration.
We are also continuing to learn how to use past and present tense correctly because is related to our unit on Where We Are In Place And Time: The culture of a country changes over time. In Maths we have been learning how to read a clock by making paper clocks.
