Rainforest does craft, reading and swimming

As the heat wave continues the children in RF and MW have become noticeably more tired. We have been encouraging them to drink a cup of water or tea every time they come back from play and at lunch and snack time. Given that our unit of inquiry has finished this week we have taken a bit more time to have fun by doing some painting for our sports festival decorations. Our hula hoop routine is slowly getting better.

We also have been practising rhyming words by looking in books from the classroom for words that rhyme. Students have also done phonics /thr/ and learnt how to use some vocabulary such as: through, in, away from, down, on for example.

We will continue to learn more location words next week. I hope everyone enjoys the Matsumoto Bon Bon although it is going to be a very hot night!
